Overview about Centrifuge’s Applications and Selection

Compared with other separation equipment, Centrifuge can be used not only to get low moisture solid phase and high purity liquid phase, but also it has advantages of small footprint, good sealing, continuous operation, and automatic remote control, etc. So Centrifuge is widely used in chemical, petrochemical, petroleum refining, medicine, food, textile, metallurgy, coal, shipbuilding, environmental protection, military industry, and others. Such as purification and reuse of drilling mud for petroleum, sludge concentration and dehydration for sewage treatment, refining of petrochemical products, extraction of antibiotics and pesticides, production of milk, yeast, beer, fruit juice, sugar, orange oil, animal and vegetable oil, and fabric fiber dehydration, production of starch and other food, fabric fiber dehydration, purification of lubricants and fuel oil, etc. Centrifuge has become widely used separation equipment for different industries of the national economy.

There are different processing requirement in the production process, including Dehydration, Clarification, Concentration, Classification, and Separation. The essence of Dehydration and Clarification is to separate solids and liquid in the suspension, Dehydration is to remove liquid phase from solid phase, and Clarification is to remove solid phase from liquid. Concentration is to increase the content of solid phase in the solid-liquid mixture. Classification is the separation of particles of different size in the suspension. Separation generally refers to the separation of two mutually incompatible liquid phases.

GN Supplied One Set of Oil Sludge Treatment System for Asia Client

Recently GN Company supplied one set of Oil Sludge Treatment System for Asia client recently, with Model GNOST-05A, capability 5 m3/h.

The Oil Sludge generally is from Oil Tank, Refinery Plant, or Drilling Rig. GN Company’s system can be used for recollecting Oil, Water and Solids separately, with achieving result as follow, Oil Content in Solid < 2%, Solis & Water Content in Oil < 3%, and Oil Content in Water is 500~1000 PPM.

The main procedure is as below,
1. Premixing oil sludge with chemical and heating water.
2. Removing Coarse Solids (bigger than 100um) by Shaker.
3. Removing find solids (less than 10um) by Decanter Centrifuge.
4. Separating Oil, Water and little ultra-fine Solid by a Disc Centrifuge (vertical).

GN Oil Slugdge Treament system also provide chemical dosing module, pump, transferring pipeline and other accessories.
