Here are introduction about Constant Torque self-adaptation Function for GN Decanter Centrifuge.

When concentration changes, the current of back motor (for driving screw) would fluctuate accordingly.

1. When the monitored current value of back motor exceeds set value, the differential speed of centrifuge is too low, the control-programming program automatically controls the back motor working current to decrease to the preset value, and increases the differential speed of centrifuge.

2. When the monitored current value of back motor returns to normal setting value range, the control-programming program automatically controls the auxiliary motor working current to return to the preset value, and the differential speed of centrifuge returns to the normal.

3. When the monitored current value of back motor is low to the set value, the differential speed of centrifuge is too high, the control-programming program automatically controls working current of back motor to rise to the preset value, and reduces the differential speed of centrifuge.

4. Constant Torque self-adaptation Function can ensure the uniform of dry humidity of sludge (discharged from Centrifuge), and avoid the plugging problem caused by concentration change of feeding sludge, which provides reliable guarantee for the normal and stable operation of centrifuge.

GN Company Report about Comparison of Centrifuge and Filter Press

Regarding to the Clients’ questions about the Comparison of Decanter Centrifuge and Filter Press, GN Company Technical Team had research and prepared report, details as follow.

1. Discharged Cake Moisture
1.1 Decanter Centrifuge
Decanter centrifuge is using centrifugal force to separate solid and liquid under normal pressure, thus the discharged solid cake with relative high moisture, about 50~80%.
1.2 Filter Press
Filter press is dewatering the sludge by high pressure extrusion and filtering, discharged solid cake would be dryer than same out of decanter centrifuge, about 45~75%.

2. Applicability
2.1 Decanter Centrifuge
Decanter centrifuge can be widely used for sludge with low viscosity sludge, and high viscosity such as the oily sludge.
2.2 Filter Press
Filter press normally will not be used for oily sludge dewatering due to the filter membrane blocking issue.

Clients shall consider factory situation, labor cost, working condition, sludge type, plant area, investment and so on to decide to use filter press or decanter centrifuge.

GN Company Supplied Solids Transferring Pump for Middle East Client

Client from Middle East ordered one unit of Solids Transferring Pump for suction grit (dry sand), which is used for blasting.

GN Solids Vacuum Pump can be widely used for transfer Sludge, Solid (such as carbon, soil, powder, etc.), Slurry, etc.

One of the Biggest Advantages is that the Pump is 100% air driven/operation, while there is no cost of electricity or diesel. So the Pump can work in dangerous environment, such as Petroleum Site, Refinery Plant, without worrying about explosion.

GN Company has developed 3 models of this Pump, with 3 different capacities, including 10, 20, 40m3/hour (Note, the Capacity is calculated based on clean water, it might reduce some during actual operation).

The Air Requirement for each model is different, hereby taking 20m3/hour model as an example, its Pressure Requirement is 550~690Kpa (80~100PSI), and Air Demand is 80m3/minute (280CFM).

GN Company Offers One Stop Turnkey Solution for European Oil Sludge Treatment Project

Recently Clients from Europe consulted with GN Sales Managers for solution about Oil Sludge Treatment, mainly is for petroleum oil sludge. The Clients would like to recover clean oil from sludge, while discharge solids and water suitable for environment.

GN Company has developed Oil Sludge Treatment System, which can be widely used for Crude Oil Tank Sludge, Refinery Plant Waste Oil Sludge, and Drilling Waste Oil Sludge, etc.

The System is to add chemical (flocculants & emulsifier) into sludge, while heating the sludge to 60~70 C degree, then pumped the sludge into GN System for 3 Phase Separation (Oil Water Solids). The recycled water can be reused in the washing system, the oil can be sold to Refinery Company, and the solids, with oil content less than 2%, can be sent for biodegradation or thermal unit for final disposal.

GN Company Offers Disc Centrifuge for European Client

Recently GN Company supplied one unit of 2 Phase Disc Stack Separator for European Client’s Beverage Plant. The Separator is used for clarifying the liquid, removing the yeast after fermentation.

Disc Separator is specially used for two and three phase separation. Two-Phase Separation is to separate the suspended solid from liquid, or separate two kinds of liquid but different specific gravity and also are immiscible. Three-Phase Separator is to separate two kinds of immiscible liquid and solid at the same time.

Here is a brief introduction about the Working Principle of Disc Separator:

After Material feeding into the heart parts of Separator (the inside of Bowl), because of strong Centrifugal Force, the Material Mixture passes through the interval of a group of disc pieces bundles, the heavy phase moves outward the neutral hole along the disc pieces, among which, the sludge accumulate in sediment area, while heavy phase flows to Big Centripetal Pump, and light phase moves to small centripetal pump, then discharged respectively.
